Architecture on stilts 160 home units in Bordeaux, France

The new housing estate makes biodiversity, lightness and poetry essential values. The identity of the complex is reinforced by wooden structures, inspired by the stilt-walking shepherds of the Landes, bearing witness to a commitment to low-carbon architecture. This ambition is part of the programme presented by the metropolitan city of Bordeaux and represents a decisive criterion in future new buildings.
The architecture is harmoniously anchored in the landscape, thanks to the luxuriant rural landscaping. The project is based on the enhancement of the site by an architectural style reminiscent of stilt dwellings, in this way bringing lightness to the constructions. The buildings benefit from natural ventilation and natural light in their interiors.
